Photo Session Tips

°Preferred session times are in the evening or early morning.

°Always wear matte/powder based makeup.

°Consider wearing heavy hair spray to prevent fly-aways. We do have very windy days here.

°Coordinate your colors for your family portrait - solids are timeless.

°Peak Fall color is at the end of October and the 1st two weeks of November.

°The temperature can still be in the 80's and 90's in September and October.

°If your session is in the winter consider layering your clothes. It does get cold some days. 

° Everyone is happiest when they aren't hungry!

NO PARKING PERMIT IS REQUIRED IF SHOOTING IN AND AROUND YOUR CABIN.

Parking Tag Requirements for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park:

  • Three tag durations are available for purchase for all vehicle sizes and types:
    • Daily - $5
    • Weekly - $15
    • Annual - $40
  • Parking tags are not replaceable, refundable, transferable, or upgradable.
  • Each tag is valid for a single vehicle and must include a license plate number matching the vehicle in which it is displayed.
  • Parking tags are available for purchase both online and onsite.
